Enter the recipient's DIPy key (their email, ID card/tax number or a random key), see who it belongs to and confirm with your finger or face. The money arrives instantly and, between people in the same country, at no cost.
Pay by QR Code
Point the camera at the shop's QR Code and confirm. The payment stays linked to the purchase, and the shop can refund it.
Charge as a merchant
A static QR Code to print at the counter, or a payment request with the amount of each sale (dynamic QR Code). For each sale you see the price, the fee and what you received, in your history.

Create the account
With your name, email, ID card number (or tax number in São Tomé) and a password. One account per person.

Choose the country and the currency. From then on you can receive.

With a photo of your document and a selfie. Until it is approved, the wallet can only receive: sending, paying and cashing out are blocked.

Frequently asked questions
Is PagaNó a bank?
No. The balance is prepaid electronic money used for payments: it is not a bank deposit, earns no interest and can be redeemed. PagaNó is operated by PaqueteEngineer – Software, Payment & Security.
How much does PagaNó cost?
Sending and receiving between people in the same country is free. Businesses pay a small fee when they get paid. Your country's amounts are in the app, under Profile → Fees.
Why can't I send money?
To send, pay or cash out you must verify your identity: your ID card, passport or tax number (CPF in Brazil) and a selfie. It is a security requirement and part of the anti-money-laundering law. Until verification is approved, the wallet can only receive.
What is a DIPy key?
It works like a Pix key: your email, your document number (ID card, tax number, CPF) or a random key, which you register under Profile → My DIPy keys. Whoever sends you money enters the key instead of an account number and, before confirming, sees only your first name and the initial of your last name. An email key only becomes active with the code we send you.
How do I put money in or take it out?
At a PagaNó agent. To top up, hand over the cash and give one of your DIPy keys: the agent credits the wallet instantly. To cash out, enter the agent's key and the amount in the app: the balance moves to the agent and they hand you the cash. The first withdrawals each month are free. By bank, card or Multicaixa, coming soon.
I sent money to the wrong person. What now?
Ask the person to return it: the recipient can return a transfer, in full or in part, up to 90 days later. If they don't, open a dispute from the transfer details.
I paid a shop and want my money back.
Only the shop can refund a payment made to it. Talk to the shop; if that doesn't solve it, open a dispute from the transaction.
I lost my phone. Is my money safe?
The app asks for your finger, face or phone PIN when it opens and before every transfer. Contact customer support to block the account.
Can I use PagaNó without internet?
Not yet. Access by dialling a code from any phone, without mobile data, is being prepared with the mobile operators.
